If you want to know how to take care of your azalea, you have to go bakc to its origin, namely as a groundcovering plant underneath trees (half-shade) in a nutricous and porous ground.
Temperature: Azaleas are best kept in a normal room temperature. The fresher the room, the longer you'll enjoy their bright flowers.
Light: Azaleas need a sufficient amount of light, but direct sunlight is to be avoided. This would wilt the flowers faster and would force the plant to evaporate too much water.
Water: The rootball has to be humid all the time, but "wet feet" are fatal. When the plant feels to dry, submerge it in a bucket of water until all the air has escaped from the soil.
